Mitchel Butin, MD
Dr. Mitchel Butin is a graduate of SUNY-Downstate Medical Center where he obtained his medical degree. He completed his Psychiatric Residency Program at SUNY-Downstate/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, and then completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at The New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center, Westchester Division. He has been a practicing, board certified psychiatrist for over 30 years. He has worked in many clinical settings, including hospitals, long term care facilities, psychiatric day programs, clinics and in private practice. He has extensive experience in psychiatric medication treatment for adults. Additionally, he has specialized training and experience in geriatric psychiatry, including the treatment of late life depression, and behavioral and emotional manifestations of Alzheimer’s dementia and related disorders. Dr. Mitchel Butin employs a pragmatic approach in our practice and seeks to work with our patients to develop an individualized plan for optimum treatment.
